Scaffolding Components 

Our scaffold combos are available with or without kickboards and stabilisers, but we recommend including both for added protection and stability.

You’ll also save by purchasing them with your scaffold. Special combo pricing means adding these components later will cost more than including them upfront.

Available separately:

  • Kickboards – options for Slim or Wide mobile scaffolds.
  • Stabilisers – sold individually.

Kickboard 

Kickboards provide a raised edge around the scaffold platform, helping prevent tools, materials and other loose items from being accidentally knocked off the working platform.

Choose the correct kickboard option to suit your scaffold width.

  • Slim Kickboard: 2.5m L × 0.74m W 
  • Wide Kickboard: 2.5m L × 1.3m W

Stabiliser

Add stability and support to your Yakka Gear mobile aluminium scaffold with an adjustable stabiliser leg.

Suitable for compatible Yakka Gear Slim and Wide mobile scaffold configurations of 5.4m Reach and above.

Ladder

Our scaffold combos already include ladders where required. If you need an additional ladder or a replacement, you can purchase one separately to suit your setup.

Suitable for compatible Yakka Gear Slim and Wide mobile scaffolds.

Choosing your scaffolding size

Platform Height:

  • Height to stand on

Reach:

  • Height reachable when on top of the platform
  • Calculated by adding +2m to platform height for arm's reach

Environmental factors to consider:

  • If the surface area is uneven, then you will typically require a taller size to compensate for the height loss
  • Spacing between platform levels to help determine how many platforms you will require

Mobile Scaffolding Component related questions?

Do I need stabilisers?

We recommend using stabilisers for any scaffold with a reach height above 5m, although we also offer configurations without them.

For freestanding use (away from a wall), we recommend 4 stabilisers—2 on each side. Our combos that include stabilisers come with 2, as they’re intended for use against a wall.

Consult a licensed scaffolder to confirm the appropriate assembly and setup requirements for your scaffold configuration.

Do I need kickboards?

We recommend fitting kickboards to help prevent tools, materials and other loose items from falling off the sides of the scaffold. They provide a raised barrier around the platform edge for added protection.

We also offer scaffold configurations without kickboards, but recommend including them in your setup.

Consult a licensed scaffolder to confirm the appropriate assembly and setup requirements for your scaffold configuration.

Are ladders sold separately?

Our scaffold combos already include them where required as the ladders provide internal access between scaffold levels. 

If you need an additional or replacement ladder, 3m and 4m aluminium straight ladders with swing arms are available separately.

Consult a licensed scaffolder to confirm the appropriate assembly and setup requirements for your scaffold configuration.
